Mark and Theresa Bentley

Bentley Guitar Studios (BGS) is a family owned small business that has served Parkville, guitar players and students for over 28 years. Mark Bentley started the business after deciding to stop touring the US and Europe as a professional guitarist as well as staff guitarist at the Hyatt Hotel. Parkville was so charming that he decided to set up his business in this cute town.

About 14 years ago, BGS expanded and branched out into his store by adding more lessons, teachers, and repairs to become the store we are today. Approximately 250-300 students come through our doors every week with several students moving on to perform as high level professional musicians. BGS has also become one of the top regional repair shops and was voted one of the best indie guitar stores in the country (Guitar Player Magazine) and the only one listed for Missouri!

We love Parkville and are grateful for all the support the community gives us, not only as a small business but also as performing musicians.

Bentley Guitar Studios is known for having a staff that knows guitars better than any store around! We also have career teachers that are high quality artist out performing themselves. You won’t find better teachers around!

Mark and Theresa perform around the area as the guitar and harp duo, The Bentley Project. You can find our music on all the major streaming sites and it is currently being played in over 15 countries.
